The Prime Minister of Japan has been forced to stay at a cheap Hawaiian hostel after making a “surprise” visit to Pearl Harbor, according to American sources.

American officials say they had no advanced knowledge and “had to check Abe into the only room still available for the night at the Hostel Booze and Snooze in Waikiki”.

There have been some reports that high-ranking officials were aware of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s planned arrival but the U.S has dismissed these claims.

“He’ll just have to order some take-away pizza or American dogs from his bunk bed,” said one U.S. official.

None of the three Sea Shepherd ships that are regularly docked at Pearl Harbor were present at the time of Abe’s arrival, raising further suspicions over the existence of advanced knowledge.
