Australia has woken to find out what they already knew this morning – that the majority of the population are not haters.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that 61.6 per cent of the nation gave their opinion in a survey agreeing to the legalization of same-sex marriage.
“I’m just so glad we spent $122 million to confirm something I already knew,” says 37-year-old Sheila Huntington.
“This survey just goes to show if you spend a ridiculous amount of cash you can confirm legally non-binding opinions.”
The postal survey has changed nothing, but was a great opportunity for politicians to delay the passing of same-sex marriage laws.
