A commuter bravely formed a third line next to two other lines on a Shinjuku Station platform this morning.
The incident raised eyebrows with the previously formed lines having been established well before the third, and plenty of space still remaining at the rear.
The man stood with an innocent look on his face carefully avoiding eye contact until shimmying across into position number two of the previously formed line as the train pulled up.
“I’m second in line to perhaps hold a sneaky shot at seat attainment and this guy comes from nowhere to initiate the triple queue,” an eyewitness claimed.
“So I end up moving to third spot in the line up, taking my overall position to equal fifth for that train door, and severely reducing my chances of a comfortable journey.”
Sources confirmed that the eyewitness wouldn’t have secured a seat even without the formation of the third queue.
