A foreigner travelling through Tokyo this morning discovered a wallet in the center of a busy Shibuya intersection and kept it.
“What a relief – I’d almost ran out of cash for the week as well,” said Barry Locket.
Locket says after a split second of instinctual consideration he was willing to accept the stranded wallet into his life.
“Some people may have let their social conscience get the better of them but these people are commonly known in my country as weak,” said Locket.
“It even had 70,530 yen inside – a nice little keeper.”
The cash recovered from the wallet should be sufficient to suppress any feelings of guilt that may involuntarily emerge over the coming days.
