The Ghibli animation movie Princess Mononoke has been sullied forever for Ryan Clarke after he was informed that contrary to his original beliefs the theme song vocalist is actually a man.

“When I found out the news that the theme song was actually sung by a man I punched my desk with light to medium force,” says Ryan Clarke.

“Now I can’t watch Princess Mononoke without seeing Yoshikazu Mera’s face on the head of the Deer God Forest Spirit.”

Clarke says he was hoodwinked into believing that “this voice of an angel” was that of a beautiful woman.

“I feel angry and even a little bit dirty – like I want to go and have a shower immediately.”

Clarke says now he has fallen down the rabbit hole there is no climbing back up.

“You can’t unlearn that shit, Princess Mononoke is now ruined forever.”
