Igarashi's Works Shamed By High-quality Erotic Manga “Tentacle Nightmare”

Prosecutors sought a fine of 800,000 yen yesterday at the Tokyo District Court from Megumi Igarashi, 43, better known as the ‘vagina artist’, for selling “obscene” depictions of her genitals.

The prosecuting team introduced Exhibit-A, the all-time classic erotic manga “Tentacle Nightmares”, to debate the fundamental essence of art.

Free copies of the comic book distributed to the courtroom were well received.

Exhibit-A, “Tentacle Nightmares”, was presented as a sophisticated portrayal of two girls and their journey to self-discovery, complete with manifestations of creativity and cultural influences.

The court heard Igarashi’s “art” was a crude reconstruction of the baby-making organ.

“Making a kayak in the form of the female genitalia is not art, it’s just dumb and serves no higher purpose,” said one prosecutor.

“Tentacle Nightmares 2” will be released next summer.
