Eight per cent would have been more than sufficient, a foreign resident in Osaka City has reported on Saturday afternoon.

“It’s only 2:20 p.m. and I’m already well on my way,” says 2-years-4-months-a-gaijin Gary Jones.

“I’ve only had half a can of a super sized 9% Strong Zero -196℃ Double Lemon.”

Jones would have been wise to purchase a regular size Strong Zero, but the large one was only around 40 yen more.

“I should’ve got the regular size one, this one has become so warm to taste,” he said while sitting on the street next to an izakaya.

Jones still has no idea what -196℃ means.
