Japan is reporting this morning that it is “nemui”.
Employees and students just can’t deal with being awake any longer and are closing their eyes.
Workers around the nation have allegedly blinked and not reopened their eyes while remaining in an upright position facing their computer screens.
Students are engaging in their favorite hobby during lessons, catching up on some shuteye after another heavy weekend of “baito” and sleeping.
“Nemui,” said 16-year-old schoolgirl Hiroko Sawamura.
According to local papers, random strangers throughout the country have been used as pillows during morning commutes.
