A group of Chiba Prefecture elementary school students have presented their local gaijin for show and tell.

The fifth grade students were asked to bring some sort of interesting or weird creature they could find near their homes in to school for “science week”.

Each member of the group spoke for about two minutes about their discovery.

“Here we can see a tall white nose on a beautiful tiny head, which is attached to a massive body,” one student explained.

There was deathly silence at the end of the presentation when the class was asked if they had any questions.

All of the students tilted their heads another five degrees after the teacher asked the class a second time.

After the presentation concluded most of the students ran up to the front of the classroom to ask the gaijin’s age, it’s favorite Japanese word, and whether or not it has a boyfriend.
