An accurate amount of just how much the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and respective government officials give a shit about the victims of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant disaster has been depicted on a large advertisement in Ginza, Tokyo.
The billboard, 6.7 meters wide by 28.48 meters tall, was installed on Monday ahead of the annual anniversary of the disaster – with the amount of shit given being around 8 centimeters wide by 14 centimeters tall.
The ad’s message has one line at the bottom in Japanese saying “exactly this amount” next to a small piece of human excrement illustrating the estimated 150 gram pile of poo that TEPCO and government officials have reserved for caring about the nuclear refugees that fled from the March 11, 2011 nuclear disaster.
“I cannot confirm or deny if the amount of shit we give is relative to the size of a small stool sample,” announced TEPCO spokesman Tatsuhiro Yamagishi.
The tiny pile of crap also doubles as a representation of the rough amount of compensation that has been received from the more than 160,000 victims who lost their homes, communities, and livelihoods.
