Japan has completed 2018 with men maintaining their dominant position in society.
“It’s been another successful year,” says Japanese male Kenkryoku Mochinagara.
Japan was challenged earlier in the year with the global #metoo movement but managed to hold firm.
“Fortunately, due to our lack of English skills we can largely shield ourselves from global social progress.”
“And if an outside movement does penetrate our borders, we can easily frame the issue with the original message being intentionally lost in translation.”
Japan hopes 2019 will be another positive year in suppressing gender equality.
