Rugby is now the most amazing sport in Japan after the national rugby team defeated Ireland 19-12 in a Rugby World Cup pool match in Shizuoka Prefecture on Sunday.

“Stuff soccer or baseball,” says 28-year-old sport fan Bandowa Gen.

“I don’t know what was going on out there, or any of the rules, but our score was higher than Ireland’s – yatta!”

Japan has been forced to import foreign labor over the past decade in an attempt to become competitive.

“First we played them in the position of hooker, but then they started taking other jobs,” says Sports Minister Hagiuda Kouichi.

Rugby will remain the most amazing sport in Japan until they lose.
