The annual schedule for appropriate dates to get wasted in a park has been released by Japan’s Meteorological Agency.
Most parks throughout Japan are predicted to be full of people engaging in party like behaviour, but only within a two-meter radius of their group’s carefully laid out blue tarpaulins.
“We’re forecasting a heavy flow of intoxicated people in parks around Tokyo towards the latter third of March,” said Shigeko Yamashita, a spokesperson for Japan’s metrological agency.
“This is the only time of year where it is acceptable for a large group of people to get rowdy in a public place.”
The national meteorological agency has warned park-goers to observe the correct getting-drunk-in-a-park dates or they will be slightly frowned upon by the greater community.
