Japan has used up a large chunk of its limited spare time handwriting nengajo.
“Why enjoy life when you can do handwriting?” Japan rhetorically asks as the year comes to an end.
Tokyo waifu Keiko Takahashi explained in great detail to her gaijin husband, Dave, about the importance of nengajo in Japanese culture.
“IT MUST BE DONE!” waifu Keiko explained.
Dave wrote out the nengajo by hand so as to not disrespect friends, family, and acquaintances.
After writing out over 100 nengajo over the weekend, Dave was looking forward to getting back to work.
