A man in Japan professing to be a model, in fact, gets most of his wages working as an instructor for an English conversational school.
James Huffington informs strangers on a regular basis that he makes a living from “male modelling”.
While not a total lie, it would be more truthful if he told people he acquires the overwhelming majority of his salary from simply speaking his native language.
“He gets 93% of his income from teaching English,” says Huffington’s friend.
“But he tells everyone he’s a model.”
Huffington usually shows people a professional photograph of himself, the last one being from a photoshoot back in 2015.
The 39-year-old was paid about 10,000 yen for 6 hours work.
He is now 43.
“To be fair, he’s not really even a teacher.”
