A shopper today in Shibuya Ward Tokyo has alleged they were entrapped into bowing countless times after purchasing some jewellery in a department store.
The customer was keen to end all niceties upon purchase but a flurry of heavy duty bowing from the department store staff compelled her to respond.
“I tried to make a quick break for it but I was done in by the old hand-delivery-to-the-shop-front-door trick,” the woman said.
The shopper made the fatal move of looking back once receiving product in hand further complicating the situation.
“I just couldn’t help myself, I needed a glimpse back to see if they were still bowing even though I was halfway down the street – and they were,” the woman said.
